Acclimation Procedure

•        Remove bags/cups from the shipping container.
•        Float them unopened in your tank for 15mins.
•        Remove livestock from bags/cups and put into a container.*
•        Place them into the container, fully covering them with the shipping water.**
•        Start a siphon using a small piece of air hose.
•        Make sure to put a couple of knots in the hose to regulate the water flow.
•        Adjust the flow of water to 5 or 6 drops a second.
•        Let the water amount double and then cup out half of the water.
•        You’re done once the water level doubles again.***
•        You can now place your livestock into your tank.
•        Discard all remaining water after you acclimate.

For Corals:  You may also want to cut back on your lighting schedule for a day or so.
So your new additions can get adjusted to their new environment.

*The Foam shipping container will work!
**Placing a heater in the bottom of the container would be advised.
***Some livestock require more time to acclimate.  If you are unsure please contact us.
